Kalpavriksha works across youth development, learning ecosystems, and research-backed community innovation to create long-term opportunities for underserved students and rural communities.
We do not believe in isolated interventions. Kalpavriksha's initiatives are designed to build on one another — helping learners and communities move from first access to deeper capability, from capability to opportunity, and from opportunity to meaningful contribution.
Creating first-touch opportunities through digital exposure, foundational learning, immersive programmes, and inclusive community spaces.
Building digital literacy, computational thinking, AI readiness, leadership, communication, problem-solving, and resilience.
Connecting learners with mentorship, advanced programmes, scholarship pathways, exposure to experts, and institutional networks.
Encouraging students and communities to lead innovation projects, sustain Digital Gurukuls, and contribute to local transformation.
Kalpavriksha's work is organised across three interconnected pillars that together advance a more inclusive, future-ready, and sustainable rural Uttarakhand.
We equip underserved students with the skills, confidence, and opportunity pathways they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
We strengthen schools, educators, and local learning systems so that rural learners receive sustained access to emerging technologies and meaningful educational support.
We support field-based research, pilot community-centred solutions, and help connect academic and technological innovation with rural realities.
Our youth initiatives are designed as a connected ecosystem. Some create first exposure, others accelerate advanced capability, and others build leadership, community contribution, and long-term opportunity pathways.
Kalpavriksha's flagship residential initiative for high-potential rural youth. DCP 2026 brings together Class 11 students from underserved communities for an intensive journey in computational thinking, AI literacy, leadership, design thinking, communication, and rural problem-solving. Designed to help students not only learn, but build, collaborate, present ideas, and begin to see themselves as future changemakers.
A foundational residential experience in digital literacy, confidence, and future exposure.
Introduces underserved students from government schools to computers, digital learning, English communication, curiosity-led exploration, and 21st-century skills in an immersive residential format. It serves as an important first step in helping students see technology as something they can use, understand, and grow with.
Creating confident digital pathways for girls from underserved communities.
A focused non-residential initiative designed to encourage girls' participation in digital learning, future skills, and leadership. By providing access, confidence-building, and positive exposure, IGNITE helps girls imagine themselves as active participants in the technology-enabled future.
Advanced capability-building for alumni ready to go further.
Designed for Kalpavriksha alumni who are ready to deepen their skills, leadership, and community contribution. It provides an advanced next step after foundational programmes, supporting students as they build higher-order digital competencies, confidence, and responsibility.
Community learning spaces led by young agents of change.
Extends Kalpavriksha's impact beyond residential programmes by enabling alumni and local youth leaders to create community-based learning spaces in rural areas. Learners share knowledge, support peers, and build a culture of digital curiosity and collective advancement in their own villages.
Connecting capability with life-changing next steps.
Kalpavriksha believes that future-ready learning must connect to meaningful opportunities. With the support of Yuva Unstoppable, eligible Class 11 students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds are being connected to NEET/JEE scholarship opportunities, helping high-potential learners pursue ambitious pathways in medicine and engineering.
Kalpavriksha works with educators, schools, and community stakeholders to build more enabling learning environments — so that every student has a genuine chance to grow.
Helping educators understand and meaningfully engage with the AI age.
Builds awareness, confidence, and practical understanding around artificial intelligence and future-ready education. By supporting educators, we strengthen the learning environments that shape thousands of students over time.
Partnering with institutions to create durable educational change.
Kalpavriksha supports schools and education networks in designing and delivering programmes that improve digital exposure, skill-building, mentorship, and student opportunity pathways.
Creating spaces where opportunity can continue locally.
Through Digital Gurukuls, alumni networks, and local facilitation models, Kalpavriksha contributes to community-level learning ecosystems that keep access and aspiration alive beyond a single intervention.
Kalpavriksha works beyond education by partnering on field-based research, rural implementation, and community-centred innovation.
Kalpavriksha is the field implementation partner for an NMHS-supported project with IIT Roorkee and Quest Engineering & Consultancy in Dhansi village, Yamkeshwar block. The project focuses on decentralized rainwater harvesting and greywater treatment using an electrocoagulation–ceramic membrane system — designed to address water and wastewater challenges in Himalayan rural settings.
Kalpavriksha's role includes community engagement, local coordination, awareness-building, implementation support, and helping connect the research intervention with village realities.
Supporting on-ground implementation and community-level logistics in remote Himalayan settings where standard infrastructure is limited.
Building awareness, trust, and participation among local stakeholders — translating research intent into community-owned adoption.
Helping research and technology interventions operate in real-world rural settings, bridging the gap between lab and village.
Documenting field insights, community adoption patterns, and opportunities for replication across other Himalayan villages.
Kalpavriksha's youth programmes are designed to meet learners at different stages of growth — and keep pathways open as their confidence, capability, and ambition expand.
Building digital confidence, curiosity, and the belief that technology is something every young person can understand and use.
Computational thinking, AI literacy, leadership, problem-solving, and team-based innovation for students ready to go further.
Connecting capable learners with NEET/JEE scholarships, mentors, professional networks, and continued guidance beyond the programme.
Alumni become facilitators, role models, and community leaders — sustaining local learning and inspiring the next generation of students.
This design allows Kalpavriksha to support students not only at the moment of first exposure, but across a longer arc of aspiration-building, opportunity, and contribution — creating deeper and more lasting change than any single programme can achieve alone.
The strongest programmes do more than teach — they open doors. Kalpavriksha creates extended pathways through mentorship, partner-supported opportunities, alumni networks, and scholarship access.
Longer-term guidance that helps students navigate aspirations, decisions, and personal growth — connecting them with professionals who can expand their sense of what is possible.
With support from Yuva Unstoppable, eligible Class 11 students may be connected to NEET/JEE scholarship opportunities — opening ambitious academic pathways in medicine and engineering.
Past participants become part of a growing network of young changemakers who continue to learn, lead, and contribute — helping sustain learning and aspiration in their own communities.
Students engage with educators, entrepreneurs, social-impact leaders, and professionals during bootcamps and beyond — expanding their sense of possibility and what they can aspire to.
Every Kalpavriksha programme reflects a set of principles that we return to again and again — because design choices determine whether an intervention creates fleeting exposure or lasting change.
We design with the realities of rural learners and communities in mind — not by replicating urban models in rural settings.
Our programmes respond to a world shaped by AI, technology, and new models of work and learning — preparing students for what comes next.
Confidence, curiosity, resilience, leadership, and belonging matter alongside technical skills. We design for the whole person.
We prioritise doing, building, presenting, solving, and reflecting — not passive instruction alone. Learning that sticks requires active participation.
We connect immediate learning with longer-term opportunity, mentorship, and social mobility — because a programme without a next step is an incomplete journey.
Our programmes draw on experience, reflection, research partnerships, and a commitment to continuous improvement — so we get better over time.
Whether through partnership, funding, institutional collaboration, school engagement, or community support — you can help Kalpavriksha create deeper and more durable opportunities for rural youth and communities in Uttarakhand.
